These Terms and Conditions govern your usage of Niran's public charging station and web services at goev.nirantech.com. By scanning any Niran station QR code, you agree to these terms.

1. The 3-Step Service Model & Vehicle Compatibility

Niran provides ad-hoc electric vehicle charging via three explicit steps:

  1. Scan: You scan the station’s QR code to pull up the web terminal or application.
  2. Pay: You select a charging quota and pre-authorize a fixed financial hold amount before the dispenser unlocks power flow.
  3. Charge: You insert the plug firmly into your EV to initiate power distribution.

Your Responsibility: You must ensure your vehicle is compatible with the selected connector (e.g., CCS2, Type 2, GB/T). Niran is not liable for structural damage, port locking issues, or charging failures resulting from faulty vehicle inlets, third-party plug adapters, or vehicle-side BMS errors.

2. Eligibility

Users must be:

  1. 18 years or older
  2. Legally capable to contract under Indian Contract Act, 1872

3. Service Scope

  1. EV charging access via registered stations
  2. Service is subject to station availability, grid supply, and technical conditions

4. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for

  1. Safeguarding login credentials
  2. Accurate vehicle and other user details
  3. All activities under their account
  4. Careful and safe usage of charging station

5. Pricing & Billing

  1. Tariff displayed before charging starts"
  2. Prices may vary by station, time, or grid conditions
  3. GST applied as per law

6. Payment & The Unused Balance Refund Policy

Automatic Refund Rule: When you initiate step 2, you select a pre-authorized payment amount (e.g., ₹1000 / ₹500) to start charging. If your vehicle terminates the session early (due to battery reaching 100%, manual plug disconnection, or user cancellation) before using the full pre-paid allotment, the exact unused balance will be calculated and automatically refunded back to your original payment method.

8. Outages, Grids, and Disclaimer of Liability

Niran relies on localized commercial grids and data networks. We do not guarantee uninterrupted server connections or constant power flow during localized grid brownouts, utility blackouts, or telecom network dead-zones. Niran shall not be liable for any battery degradation, onboard electronic damage, vehicle software locks,any other vehicle damage or indirect commercial losses resulting from unexpected power interruptions or hardware drops or Force majeure events. Any Liability is limited to charging session amount only.

9. Termination of Dispenser Access

We reserve the right to ban specific vehicle VIN numbers, user accounts, or credit tokens if we detect fraudulent payment profiles, continuous charging disruptions, or physical tampering with the safety enclosures of Niran assets.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any unresolved hardware, payment, or data tracking disputes shall be handled in courts located within Chennai, TamilNadu.
